Dr. Heather Knych explains basic pharmacology for racehorse trainers. Dr. Knych is a professor of veterinary pharmacology in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Knych received both her DVM & PhD at UC Davis and is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Knych heads the very productive equine pharmacology section at the UC Davis/Maddy Lab and has published extensively on the pharmacokinetics of drugs important or of concern to horse racing.
