Dr. Dionne Benson, Chief Veterinary Officer for the Stronach Group Racing and Gaming, and Dr. Ryan Carpenter, Surgeon at the Equine Medical Center, discuss the protocols such as medication reform, enhanced veterinary exams, additional race day monitoring and risk assessments that have been implemented to successfully reduce the equine fatality rate in the state.
