New York's Void Claim Rule: History & Analysis

Safety, integrity and welfare are everyone’s shared responsibility, and the collective impact of multiple initiatives on the quality of life of horses and the people who work with them is a critical consideration.

One such initiative is the voided claim rule. The rule has evolved over the past few years; the presenters discuss the history of the rule, its evolution in New York, its efficacy and the condition of the horse at the time of retirement and potential transition to a second career.
