Biosecurity for the Racetrack

Dr. Abby Sage provides a presentation on effective biosecurity at the racetrack, and recommendations to protect the health of the horse and to help to prevent an outbreak of infectious disease.

Dr. Sage is a veterinarian in the Virginia State Vet’s Office. She coordinates the equine programs run by the office.  Prior to her current position she had been in private equine veterinary practice, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, and the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. Earlier in her career she did research on the use of Lasix in racehorses and has served as a veterinarian for the Racing Commissions at Parx Racing, Penn National, and Delaware Park.

In order to earn the Continuing Education Credit of one hour and receive the Certificate of Completion, you must watch the entire video AND answer all questions in the quiz correctly.
